At the beginning of September, the HAHN Automation Group China proudly celebrated its tenth anniversary of its plant in Kunshan, China. Established in 2014 in Jiangsu Province, Kunshan, the Chinese subsidiary has significantly boosted HAHN Automation Group’s market position in Asia.
A Decade of Automation in Eastern Asia
Over the past decade, HAHN Automation Group China has undergone remarkable evolution. Initially starting with just two employees, the subsidiary now boasts a team of over 110 experts. Originally focusing on automating assembly and testing processes, HAHN Automation Group China has become renowned for its End-of-Line (EOL) testing solutions.
During the celebration, Haiying Chen, Managing Director, reflected on the company's decade-long journey from its inception in Kunshan to its rapid expansion. He highlighted the growth from the original first-floor factory to a new second-floor workshop. Chen stated, "We will steadfastly uphold the corporate spirit of being 'kind, solution-driven, accountable, and sustainable.'" He also unveiled future development strategies, including expanding within the Chinese market and exploring emerging markets like India and Vietnam.
Service and Market Expansion
HAHN Automation Group China has brought significant advancements to the Asian market. The LiftMaster, initially developed in Germany in 1994, is now primarily produced and sold for the Asian market, demonstrating the successful transfer and localization of this technology. Additionally, the Chinese subsidiary has opened new markets for the HAHN Automation Group, including a notable expansion into the medical market, earning accolades from clients such as Zeiss and U-join. Further emphasizing this growth is the establishment of a sales and after-sales service point in Changsha.
Reflecting on the Past and Planning for the Future—A Glimpse at the Celebrations
The 10th-anniversary celebration, held on September 4th, 2024, at the new factory building in Kunshan, was a day filled with inspiration and innovation. The event brought together approximately 120 attendees, including the global management team, local officials, and valued clients.
The purpose of the celebration was to foster a deeper understanding, enhance cooperation, and promote exchange. Highlights of the event included inspiring speeches from founders and government representatives that ignited enthusiasm and pride. A roundtable discussion on China’s pivotal role in the German machinery and equipment industry fostered insightful conversations and ideas. Simultaneous workshops were conducted to chart the future of automation through technological innovation and project management. Attendees experienced a hands-on tour of the smart factory, exploring cutting-edge automation solutions, and engaged with a virtual reality experience that unveiled the limitless possibilities of automated production.
To cap off the celebration, there was a showcase of cultural fusion, featuring captivating dance and music performances that celebrated the richness of traditional Chinese culture, providing a true sensory delight.
